Sharapova set for HK return
Maria Sharapova is likely to keep her date with Hong Kong at the JB Group Classic at Victoria Park in January. Organisers were relieved to discover that the Russian starlet (pictured) was on the verge of shrugging off a nagging shoulder injury that had sidelined her for most of the year. Organisers said she had confirmed she would be appearing at the January 7-10 tournament. 'I spoke to her people recently and they said she was training and would be playing in Hong Kong,' said tournament director Terry Catton. 'I know she is still continuing therapy on her shoulder.'
