Reis goes back to work two days after wedding ceremony
Is it just me or does it seem odd that less than two days after marrying a 'tycoon', Michele Reis needs to work? I mean, would you rather go on a whirlwind honeymoon or be stuck in a mall with a big fake Christmas tree? But there was Mrs Shipping Heir at Festival Walk on Tuesday for the mall's 10th anniversary and tree-lighting ceremony. The shoppers in Kowloon Tong were surprised to see her appear from a giant box, along with Taiwanese actor Chang Chen.
'I am still immersed in the romance of my wedding,' Reis gushed. 'To me, it was a near-perfect day. All our beloved friends and families attended.'
It was certainly the event of the week for the local tabloids. Other local magnates like Joseph Lau Luen-hung (Reis' previous suitor) were even drawn into its gossip vortex. Mr Lau spent Sunday screaming at reporters for scratching up his car as they tried to get a comment. Reis sympathises.
'Lau sent us his congratulations and a gift. But I can understand his frustration. My wedding car was damaged too. Some of the windows and paint were scratched by equipment as the paparazzi chased us. And it was a Rolls Royce.'
