South China received a timely boost before Sunday's Senior Shield semi-final clash against TSW Pegasus with the arrival of South Korean Kim Pan-gon as their new team manager. Kim, a former boss of K-League side Pusan, starred for Hong Kong clubs such as Instant Dict, Double Flower and Rangers as a player in the 1990s and was later appointed coach of Rangers. South China convenor Steven Lo Kit-sing said: 'We have been criticised for poor fitness and Kim will help us improve in this area,' said Lo. 'Our target is to reach the final of the Shield.'
