Consensus on pay settlements

Representatives of bosses and workers on the Labour Advisory Board have reached consensus on a government proposal to make non-payment of Labour Tribunal awards a criminal offence. Employers' representative Ho Sai-chu said the proposed maximum penalty of a HK$350,000 fine and three years' jail would be a strong deterrent.
