La Prairie's Cellular 3-minute Peel (HK$1,630/40ml) and Cellular Resurfacing cream (below, HK$1,450/30ml) promise to banish enlarged pores and wrinkles in minutes. The peel results in an immediate tightening sensation, and the cream provides non-greasy moisturising.

Dior's Capture Totale Multi-Perfection concentrated serum (below, HK$1,035/50ml) has a silky, luxuriously thick texture that is absorbed quickly by the skin and gives an extra hydration boost for dry winter complexions.

The Body Shop's limited-edition White Musk Intrigue Sheer Chiffon Body Lotion (left, HK$119/250ml) is an updated version of its popular summer-themed White Musk Blush range. It features a few seasonal spices such as cinnamon and blackcurrant and the base notes of patchouli and Bulgarian rose from the original. Great for daily winter hydration and good value too.

Michael Kors' epnoymous fragrance (HK$480/50ml) has been re-worked into a lighter version of the original released in 2000. This subtle scent (above) evokes an island holiday with tropical flowers, incense and woody notes. It's a Christmas scent worth splashing out on.

Becca's Santa Rosa Holiday Collection is inspired by the vibrant tones of Peruvian and Spanish colonial textiles and pottery. The Paracus (antique gold) eye tint (right, HK$250) comes in a small tube, sets as a powder and is water-resistant. With its versatile shade and practical application, it's an eye makeup standout for women with busy lives.

Yves Saint Laurent's Bow Collection Lip Palette Duo Pour Les Levres (below, HK$440) comes in a butterfly and bow-shaped gold case that opens to reveal two glosses - one a sugary pink, the other a strawberry shade - and an applicator brush. It's pretty and the glosses are creamy, but it's fiddly to open and is on the heavy side (YSL recommends using the attached rope to accessorise your handbag). It is a nice keepsake.
