Three blazes spark arson probe

Police are investigating whether three nearby fires on Hong Kong Island were connected cases of arson. The fires occurred between 10.30pm and midnight. The first fire broke out in rubbish behind 161 Queen's Road. Motorbikes and rubbish were burned in the second fire, which broke out 20 minutes later behind 264 Queen's Road. The third fire, which broke out behind 2 Western Street, set a shop alight. More than 40 residents were evacuated.
