More money for counselling services

Two counselling centres have received nearly HK$1 million in extra funding amid concerns the slowing economy will translate into a greater demand for their services. The Social Welfare Department allocated HK$970,000 to the Tung Wah Group's Cease Crisis Centre and the Caritas' Family Crisis Support Centre. They say some callers have lost as much as HK$10 million recently.
