Bed rests

Jin Peh

If you are suffering from health problems, fung shui issues could be to blame.

Start looking for the cause in your bedroom. If you suffer from headaches and/or insomnia, en-sure your bed has a solid head-board and is not in the centre of the room. Make sure the bed is not flush against a wall with windows. If it is, move it or put up curtains that are drawn when you sleep. Mirrors opposite your bed should be moved or covered, even if you can't see your reflection when you are lying down.

There should be no plants or aquariums in your bedroom. If the wealth sector of the home lies in the bedroom and you have brought in a water fountain to take advantage of the fact, switch it off while you sleep.

If problems involve specific parts of the body, such as the neck, elbow or knee, ensure your bed is not side on to the door of the en suite bathroom. If the bed cannot be moved, place a screen or some furniture between the door and the bed. Alternatively, you can also place thick curtains on the inside of the door and keep them drawn when you are asleep. Check for lighting or ceiling fans above the affected part of your body. If you can, reposition your bed or remove the structures.
