Villagers protest against express rail link

Residents of Tsoi Yuen village in Shek Kong met Undersecretary for Transport and Housing Yau Shing-mu yesterday to object to land resumption in the area to make way for the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link. Their representative, Albert Chan Wai-yip, said the government was unlikely to make a drastic route change, but he hoped a minor adjustment could be made to reduce land resumption and the effect on residents.
