Storm Riders: Clash of Evils (DVD)
Chinese martial arts action explodes onto Hong Kong screens in a way seldom seen on the big screen in the new animated film Storm Riders: Clash of Evils.
The movie is based on the popular Hong Kong manga Fung Wan (Wind, Cloud) by comic-book artist Ma Wing-shing, and is a sequel to the live-action movie The Storm Riders (1998) with Aaron Kwok Fu-shing and Ekin Cheng Yee-kin.
Lead characters Wind and Cloud successfully kill Hung Ba, the evil martial arts leader who raised them. In the process, Wind absorbs the blood of the mythical creature the fire kirin, gaining a power boost, but he loses control of the power and goes on a rampage.
Cloud, who promised to kill Wind if this happened, fails to carry out his duty, falls into a ravine and loses his memory.
Meanwhile, Ao Jue, the surviving son of the Sword Worship Villa Clan, hatches a plot to steal the blood of the fire kirin from Wind's body. He intends to use the blood to finish forging the clan's demon sword, Jue, in order to take his revenge on the Emperor who ordered the clan's destruction. After he has done that, he wants to take over the world.
