Briton sentenced for shoving officer

A Briton was given a two-year suspended sentence in Eastern Court yesterday after pleading guilty to assaulting a policeman. Andrew Reid, 42, shoved Constable Jason Lai Wai-kit at Wan Chai Police Station, where he had gone to help a friend report a stolen wallet early on Saturday. The incident stemmed from a disagreement as the pair were leaving.
