A narrow loss to a Fijian select team - Uprising Beach Resort - saw Hong Kong missing out on a place in the Cup competition at the Heineken Hottest Sevens in Darwin yesterday. Hong Kong were edged out 21-17 by the Fijians, who finished second in the pool behind the tournament's second seeds, the Digicel Barbarians from Samoa. The Barbarians defeated Hong Kong 26-0. But coach Rodney McIntosh was still left a satisfied man after the local squad defeated the Darwin Taipans 24-12 and then walloped the Australian Rugby Legends 52-0.
