Few expect pay increase

Only 7 per cent of Hongkongers expect a pay rise this year, well down from 36 per cent last year, according to a survey by the Association for Democracy and People's Livelihood. Pay cuts are expected by 28 per cent, up from 5 per cent last year, according to the annual poll based on telephone interviews with 355 people, who blamed the financial crisis for their gloomy outlook.
