This week we test: sheet masks

The perfect SOS solution for skin when you travel or don't like cream masks. Massage the leftover essence into your skin after you peel off the sheet.

Clinique Moisture Surge Facial Sheet Mask (HK$375/six)

Wide and long enough to cover most face shapes, these refreshing masks give a dose of oil-free moisture to parched skin, leaving it soft to the touch and glowing.

Impress Concentrate Mask N (HK$700/28mlx6)

The mask is full of essence and perfect for winter - it may actually be too rich for use in the summer. The mask fits most face shapes, but this isn't enough to justify the price.

Tel: 2865 0978RMK Clear Jelly Sheet (HK$350/six)

The mask essence penetrates directly into skin, and the brilliant design makes application easy - the mask is split into upper and lower sheets. The only problem is that the lower piece falls off if you don't lie down.

Skinfood Black Raspberry Saeng-gi Essence Mask Sheet (HK$195/23g x 5)

These are extremely soothing on dry skin - the product is easily absorbed, making it perfect for winter. It's a pity this doesn't smell more like raspberries.

Skin Lab Gokujyun Sheet Mask (HK$89.5/five)

This mask is only for extremely dry skin - the moisturising essence is too rich for normal skin to absorb, and the residue can feel unpleasantly sticky. The two-piece design neatly fits all face shapes.
