The Home Affairs Bureau has confirmed that the landlord of the Sunbeam Theatre, a popular venue for Cantonese opera in North Point, has agreed to extend the tenancy for three years. The renewal is expected to allow sufficient time for opera troupes to migrate smoothly to other performance venues such as the Ko Shan Theatre and the West Kowloon Cultural District.
