The cash-strapped mother of late Canto-pop star Anita Mui Yim-fong asked the High Court yesterday to reduce her monthly payments on her HK$200,000 legal bill. Tam Mei-kam asked uncontested that payments be reduced from HK$16,000 to HK$10,000 a month and that the repayment period be extended to 20 months. She incurred the debt after losing a 2007 court case over Mui's will.
