Wing Shun Air-Engineering Co was fined HK$15,000 yesterday in Eastern Court for violating the Construction Sites (Safety) Regulations. The case involved an accident on July 30 last year when a worker fell to his death while inspecting an air conditioner on an external wall of a building in Wan Chai. According to the regulations, contractors must take adequate steps to prevent a worker from falling from a height of two metres or more.
