Young French jockey Johan Victoire bade farewell to Hong Kong yesterday and didn't fail his supporters, landing a confident betting move for the Sean Woods-trained King Dancer in the ninth. Remarkably, Victoire has landed nine of his 10 winners from just over 30 Woods-trained runners and Woods was singled out for special thanks as Victoire left to return home after yesterday's meeting. 'Sean has really helped me to get started here and we made a great team. I have really enjoyed my first time in Hong Kong and I hope to be back next year and do even better now that I am more familiar with everything,' said Victoire. Woods said the improvement in King Dancer from his form as a youngster in England was due to stepping up in trip. 'He's a very nice horse with a stoutly-bred female side and I think eventually he'll run 2,000m,' said Woods.
