Police seek information on woman found unconscious

Police appealed for information about a woman aged between 60 and 70 found unconscious on a footbridge outside the Central Street Market in Western at 7.40am on Thursday. She was taken to Queen Mary Hospital, where she had not regained consciousness yesterday. Keys and HK$600 in cash were found on her, but no identification. She is about 158cm tall and of medium build and was wearing a blue T-shirt, black coat, dark three-quarter-length trousers and white shoes. Anyone with information can call 2859 4200 or 2859 4227.

Marine officers capsize

Three Marine police were thrown into the sea when their rubber craft capsized while chasing a speedboat carrying suspected illegal immigrants off Wong Ma Kok, Stanley, at about 11am. The officers were picked up by another police craft and treated for minor injuries at Ruttonjee Hospital. Police said a mainland man was arrested.

Children hurt in bus incident

Thirteen schoolchildren were slightly injured when their bus braked suddenly to avoid hitting a car outside Tsuen Tak Garden in Tsuen King Circuit, Tsuen Wan, at about 8.30am. The nine boys and four girls aged six to 11 were treated at Yan Chai Hospital and released.

Mother talked out of leap

Police and fire officers talked a 33-year-old woman holding her 15-month-old son on the roof of a building in Sau Mau Ping out of jumping. They were taken to United Christian Hospital.

Girl, 16, goes missing

Police have appealed for information on Yau Cheuk-nam, 16, who has not been seen since she visited Tuen Mun Hospital on February 6 for treatment. Her mother called police on the same day. Police said Cheuk-nam was not carrying her identity card. Anyone with information can call 2666 4499.

Robbery victim treated

Police are looking for a 183cm-tall man aged between 20 and 30 after a 39-year-old woman was pushed to the ground, assaulted and robbed of a handbag containing HK$3,000 in cash and a mobile phone on a footbridge in Tai Ho Road, Tsuen Wan, at about 8.30am. The victim was treated at Yan Chai Hospital.

Chopper-wielding wife arrested

Police arrested a 28-year-old woman after she threatened her husband with a chopper during a dispute over family affairs in their Laguna City flat in Kwun Tong at about 1am. She locked herself in a bedroom and threatened to injure herself when police arrived. She was later persuaded to open the door.
