Trade delegation seals US$2b deals in UK

A trade delegation led by commerce minister Chen Deming has sealed deals worth US$2 billion with British firms in London last night on the final leg of a European tour to prove its non-protectionist stance. Xinhua says 11 contracts have been signed in procuring imports of textiles, metal services, aviation and car parts and services in ecological town design and motion pictures. Among the deals, British-based engine maker Rolls-Royce says it will sell US$1.2 billion worth of airline engines to Hainan Airlines parent company HNA Group.
