A court delayed sentencing a policewoman who kicked and hit a nine-year-old boy for missing a swimming test and forgetting his Octopus card. Fanling Court Deputy Magistrate Winnie Lau Yee-wan adjourned sentencing to March 16 because a report on the psychological impact of the incident on the boy was not ready. Chan Yuk-lan, 32, was released on bail. A separate report recommended a community service sentence for Chan.
