Eat well, don't be a problem person

We eat when we are hungry or maybe to kill time but we can't eat too much every day. This could lead to obesity.

If you are seriously overweight, it could cause many health problems, such as heart disease, diabetes and high blood pressure.

Also, some overweight people lack confidence and are reluctant to join social activities.

There could be problems on the MTR, too. Since the train seats are quite narrow, overweight people may occupy the space reserved for two passengers.

Fellow commuters may think they are troublesome.

In order not to be a 'problem person', let's eat more fresh fruits and vegetables instead of foods which are high in sugar, salt and fat. Then everybody can lead a healthy life.

Family ties key to happy life

Communication between family members is very important.

In Hong Kong, people have to do many things in a short time. Students have to study hard and adults have to work from morning till night. This can lead to a lack of communication within the family.

When teenagers return home, their parents are still at work. And when parents come back home, they are so tired they don't talk to their children. To make matters worse, many teenagers surf the internet for several hours a day, neglecting their family and schoolwork.

If parents do not talk with their children, the youngsters could be easily misled. They could use drugs or engage in other criminal activities.

For a start, you can send an SMS to your parents, saying how much you care about them. But this is not enough.

The easiest way to solve a problem is to talk with your parents. So set aside some time to be with your parents. Having dinner together is a good idea. Make it a habit and you will enjoy your life.

Rich forever

Li Ka-shing is rich because he is talented. Some people become rich through gambling or illegal means. People won't respect them. When you have good all-round skills, you can stay rich forever.

Music classes provide good value

It is good to play a musical instrument. This is compulsory for all the students in our school. And there is a music exam every term.

We must show our talents in front of the whole class to help build up our self-confidence.

Everyone says listening to music is one way to relax after a hard day's work.

We can also release our stress and express our feelings by playing a musical instrument.

When we are upset, we can play some joyous melodies. This will help to lift our mood.

In addition, if you are well-qualified, you can teach music to others. Then you can earn some extra pocket money.

I believe every student should take music lessons.

Mental health

Nowadays, many Hongkongers ignore their mental health.

If you are stressed out, don't be shy to seek help.

To maintain good mental health, you must strike a balance between study and recreation.

Don't always think about scoring high grades.

That's not the most important thing in your life.
