and the award goes to ...

Best fight: Coco Rocha (right) entangled in a catfight with another model at Jean Paul Gaultier. In true JPG style, a dominatrix then appeared to tame them.

Biggest diva: Marc Jacobs starting the Louis Vuitton show early again, even though half the editors weren't in their seats.

Celebrity appearance: Pamela Anderson (below left) in a tutu and tight tee modelling at Vivienne Westwood.

Best front-row lineup: Dolce & Gabbana and Chanel. Talk about celeb fests.

Best treats: forget champagne and goodie bags, Luella sent round the tea lady with her trolley, while Stella gave us heart-shaped hand warmers.

Penny saver: Halston and Gareth Pugh for hosting video presentations. Marc Jacobs for cutting seats down from 1,000 to 700 for his own show.

Worst wardrobe: Beth Ditto (right). That Herve Leger dress is still giving us nightmares.

Best party: Stephen Jones, for getting everyone to wear a hat to the opening bash for his Anthology of Hats at the V&A.

Couture spectacular: Alexander McQueen with stunning pieces that were more couture than ready-to-wear.

Best song: Money (That's What I Want) at Jean Paul Gaultier and Stella McCartney. It is a recession, you know.
