Young Post is looking for teenagers who want to be reporters, even if English is not their strongest subject.

If you like talking to people, finding out what's going on around you, experiencing new things or expressing your opinions, we want to hear from you. Anyone who loves ice cream or wants to do something for charity will especially want to be part of this.

On April 21, ice cream manufacturer Ben & Jerry's is holding its worldwide Charity Cone Day. A specially chosen squad of students will head down to one of the Ben & Jerry's stores to report on the event.

They will get the chance to interview Ben & Jerry's spokesmen, as well as spokesmen from the beneficiary charity, Crossroads.

Each student will get an assignment. Then our editors will weave their magic and combine them into a story that will appear in the Young Post.

If you would like to be part of this special assignment, send an e-mail to with 'Ben & Jerry's Cone Day' in the header field. Tell us what new Ben & Jerry's flavour is made with sustainably-sourced and fair-trade certified ingredients.

Don't forget to include your full name, age, telephone number and school name.

Entries close on April 15, so don't delay.

Don't forget: all good reporters research their stories beforehand. If you want to know more about Ben & Jerry's and everything they do, check out the website at
