HK$15m to upgrade internet access
The Internet Professional Association will use HK$15 million to help NGO internet centres improve their facilities. The number of such centres, which provide free internet access, will rise from 14 to 25 over a year. People who lost jobs during the economic crisis could lose internet access, president Winnie Tang Shuk-ming said. The association launched a campaign yesterday to teach 1,000 students to help their parents and the elderly with computer skills.
