The mistakes in your homework will show your teacher where you need help.

In a Young Post article about online homework services on March 17, a Year Two university student said she might use them if she was pushed for time. I think it is one thing to seek help with a difficult academic problem, but you will learn nothing if your assignments are done by others.

Do your own homework and learn from the experience.

Put a stop to campus violence

Campus violence has become a matter of public concern. There have been several cases recently. Schools and parents should take action to stop the trend.

Campus violence is due to a lack of education. Education nowadays has become too soft and punishments for misdemeanours have become too mild.

Teens no longer know what is right and wrong. They do what they like.

Parents are also to blame. They indulge their children too much and give them whatever they want. The result is teenagers today are spoilt.

I think schools and parents need to take responsibility and work harder to educate teens about right and wrong.

Economic task force too short-term

Hong Kong has been affected by the global economic meltdown, leading Chief Executive Donald Tsang to announce in his policy address he would establish and chair a task force to deal with the problem.

I think setting up a task force is a good thing and will enhance Hong Kong's competitiveness.

The government has also introduced a series of measures to provide more job opportunities, such as the Special Loan Guarantee Scheme.

Under the scheme, the government provides a 70 per cent guarantee for loans to small- and medium-sized enterprises.

But most of the measures are short-term in nature. There are no long-term measures to cope with the worsening economic situation.

Use recycled rubbish bins properly

A few years ago, the government started putting rubbish bins around the city for rubbish that can be recycled.

It was a popular move when it was first implemented and people used the bins properly.

But recently I've noticed when recycled and non-recycled rubbish bins are placed together on the street, many people do not pay attention to what bins they use.

This makes recycled rubbish bins pointless.

I think the government should promote proper use of such bins by distributing leaflets and educating people how to sort their rubbish. This would make maximum use of the recycled rubbish bins.

Reducing pollution is our responsibility.
