For art's sake

YouTube may store a vast quantity of videos but browsing the site for high-quality, art-focused content can be tedious. So, early this month, ArtBabble.org was launched to showcase works of art online as never before. The site features a range of artists and art-related topics, including some from its initial batch of partners, such as the museums of modern art in New York and San Francisco, the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the New York Public Library. There is a lack of Asian contributors but the site creator has promised other institutions will be persuaded to participate. A popular clip is Hello Kitty: The Global Brand with Nine Lives (www. artbabble.org/video/hello-kitty-global-brand-nine-lives-ken-belson).
