Prebble's 'begging' was a big Plus

The 48-year-old trainer gave full credit to Brett Prebble after the jockey guided Tremendous Plus to victory in the fourth event. 'Brett asked me to bring the horse to Happy Valley,' Chang said. 'He's not a speed horse and I thought he would have to be better at Sha Tin.' Prebble said he had 'begged' Chang to try the Valley, where Tremendous Plus had been placed once before. 'The only thing that went right today was the fast pace but that was the reason why I thought Michael should try here - you usually get good speed in these mile races,' Prebble said. 'He'll be competitive again here in Class Four.' The race saw an unwanted first for Jeff Lloyd, who was handed the first careless riding ban after being found the cause of a scrimmage near the 600m mark. Lloyd begins a two-day ban after Wednesday's card.
