One in four punters suicidal, survey finds

Nearly one in four gamblers has thought of committing suicide, Caritas Addicted Gamblers Counselling Centre found after interviewing 1,645 people who sought help. Centre supervisor Joe Tang Yiu-cho urged financial institutions to be cautious when approving loans and credit limits so gamblers would not fall heavily into debt.
