Some 244 Hospital Authority doctors left the service between April last year and March. Among them, 72 were consultants or associate consultants and 172 were residents. The authority promoted 252 serving doctors and recruited 390. It had 4,700 doctors in its employment in March, 140 more than in the same month last year.
