Mum's the word

I recently listened to a song called Dear Mom, by a Korean group. I found the melody very pleasant to listen to, so I looked up the Chinese lyrics.

The lyrics were really touching. They say that mums always worry about whether we are hungry. They always support us, even when we say or do something to upset them. Mums are the first people to help us out when we are in trouble, and we are always on their minds.

Reading the lyrics made me think. I seldom think about all the things my mum does for me. She sacrifices a lot to make sure I am happy.

Sunday is Mother's Day, so make sure you let your mum know how much you appreciate and love her.

Thanks for your letter, Ka-man. Mothers are very special people. As the Jewish proverb says, 'God could not be everywhere so He made mothers'.

Sunday is one of the Mother's Days - the British Mother's Day is held in March. Mothers hold a special place in our hearts because they play such an enormous role in our lives. They are the first face we see when we come in to this world and that is a bond that can never be broken.

In his Ode to Mom, Wayne Winters says, 'I look back on my childhood and thank the stars above. For everything you gave me, but mostly for your love'.

Young Post wishes all mums a very happy Mother's Day.
