Police arrest three men, seize 10,000 pornographic discs

Police arrested three men and seized two computers, 120 DVD burners and 10,000 obscene discs when officers discovered a flat being used to make pornography in Mong Kok yesterday. The seizure was valued at about HK$600,000. Acting on a tip-off, police arrested two men aged 27 and 29 as they left the flat in Sai Yeung Choi Street South at about 6am. They later arrested a man, 50, in a goods van at the junction of Soy Street and Tung Choi Street. The three, who police believe have a triad background, were being held for questioning.

Nine trapped in post office

Firemen were called to free three employees and six customers who were trapped inside the Post Office branch at City One Sha Tin in Ngan Shing Street, Sha Tin, when its rolling shutter broke down. The shutter was lowered halfway when the shop closed at about 5pm. When the staff and last customers tried to leave, they found the shutter had jammed.

Truck driver warned after crash

Police gave a 22-year-old truck driver a verbal warning after a collision between his vehicle and a taxi at the junction of Tai Po Tai Wo Road and Yuen Shin Road, Tai Po, at about 1am. The warning was given after a breath test showed the truck driver's alcohol reading was below the legal limit. The 44-year-old taxi driver and his passenger were treated for minor injuries at Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital.

Delivery van hits jaywalker

A suspected jaywalker suffered head injuries when hit by a delivery van in Lung Cheung Road, Wong Tai Sin, at about 4.10am. The 50-year-old woman was in stable condition in Queen Elizabeth Hospital last night. Police said the 57-year-old driver passed a breath test.
