Man of the moment Riccardo Tisci's dark, sensual designs for Givenchy come straight from the heart, writes Jing Zhang.
What are they? The newly refurbished Hilton Sydney's Relaxation Rooms and Suites have been designed to be enjoyed as a home away from home.
What's so relaxing about them? All 31 rooms and suites are decked out in soothing white, pearl and chocolate tones and each is separated into three distinct areas; a workspace with high-speed broadband connections and an IP phone; a lounge area with a king-sized bed and day couch, a mini bar and a flat-screen television; and a bathroom with an opulent hydra-spa bath positioned in front of a wall-mounted LCD television. The hotels 'bath master' consults with guests before preparing their bath using a fusion of mixed-to-order oils, gels and aromatic potions. Champagne and rose petals are on offer for couples.
Extra perks? Guests enjoy access to the hotel's executive lounge, which offers complimentary breakfast and evening canapes. Glass, the hotel's restaurant, is popular for business lunches and the terrace at Zeta is an exclusive Sydney nightspot.
What's the bottom line? Relaxation suites start from A$644 (HK$3,700) per room throughout this month.
The Hilton Sydney is at 488 George Street, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia; tel: 612 9266 2000.
