TVB last night denied a Confederation of Trade Unions claim that it had laid off 30 employees in its engineering division and would cut another 100 today. A TVB spokesman, Tsang Sing-ming, said the company rejected the claim and said the station would not lay off anyone in the near term. The station axed about 50 people in February and about 200 in December.
