Man of the moment Riccardo Tisci's dark, sensual designs for Givenchy come straight from the heart, writes Jing Zhang.
At just 16mm wide, the BDV-IT1000's amazingly compact full-range speaker drive units are the width of a finger. With three speakers at the front and two behind, they certainly look stunning.
The speakers are also fully versatile: the modular design means they can be placed on stands or desktops, or even wall-mounted. Moreover, with the wireless kit included, there is no need to run cables around the room to the rear speakers. The wireless unit powers the rear speakers for interference-free surround effects.
Built into the main control unit of the system is a Blu-ray drive able to deliver the amazing quality of Blu-ray discs and boost the resolution of your DVDs to 1080 pixels. It's also BD-Live Ready, which means it can be upgraded with a download via its Ethernet port and the addition of a USB flash memory device. This will enhance your movie experience by giving you access to extra BD-Live content from the internet - trailers, features and more information about the movie you're watching.
It can deliver a cinema experience with deep colour and x.v. colour, and it will decode and play the latest high-definition audio formats - Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio - for better than CD quality sound to match its amazing pictures. I watched Spider-Man 3 and was astonished by the sound coming from such thin speakers. What's more, it's relatively easy to set up. This is superb home cinema made simple.
