Audit reveals inadequacies at BOC

Bank of China says the National Audit Office's findings in an audit indicate that the lender's corporate governance and risk prevention ability still have room for improvement despite the implementation of a modern structure in recent years, while there are non-compliant operations in certain branches. Some clues are also found in relation to certain suspected cases, which have been handed over to the judicial bodies for investigations. The bank says it has adopted measures to fix the problems. The audit was conducted last year.
