Vacation packages offer joy for all members of the family
Parents have sometimes been heard to mutter that family holidays would be even better if kids didn't have to come along. And children have reciprocated, wondering vocally why parents always have to spoil what should be a fun vacation.
Ever attuned to guests' needs, Asian resorts have been quick to introduce a range of activities that go a long way to keeping all ages entertained all day, so toddlers, children, teens and their aged relatives all have something to enjoy.
Club Med - whose principal Asian resorts are at Cherating in Malaysia, on Indonesia's Bintan Island, at Kata Beach on Phuket and at Nusa Dua in Bali - has long been a staple of family-orientated getaways. It's no secret that youngsters, who revelled in the chain's all-inclusive child-specific vacations back in the 1970s, may well now be booking their own offspring for more of the same in the 21st century.
'At Club Med we have always offered customers exceptional locations, a vast amount of space, generous meals, a wide choice of sports and leisure activities and - most importantly - the freedom to enjoy life without restrictions or schedules,' said Casey Chow, marketing executive for Club Med in Hong Kong.
'Now, Club Med is once again pulling out ahead of the pack by reinventing the all-inclusive vacation with a more sophisticated, exclusive and personalised product.'
The new deal for children at Club Med is focused on providing both care and entertainment tailored to specific age groups, overseen by hosts traditionally known as Gentils Organisateurs (GOs).
