LVMH has taken a stake in U2 frontman Bono's eco-luxury label Edun, reports Fashion Wire Daily. Although LVMH is expected to remain a minority shareholder, it will play an active role in the brand's development, marketing and production. The investment also marks the conglomerate's first foray into the ethical fashion market.

Bulgari is celebrating its 125th anniversary with a celebrity photo exhibition to raise funds for charity Save the Children. The portraits in the exhibition will feature celebrities such as Willem Defoe, Mischa Barton and Isabella Rossellini, photographed by Fabrizio Ferri. Also on show will be a collection of 18 pieces of jewellery (including the piece above) valued at Euro3 million (HK$32 million), which will be auctioned at the end of the year with all proceeds benefiting Save the Children. Happy birthday, Barbie
Izzue is celebrating Barbie's anniversary with a range of limited-edition items including two sets, one featuring a T-shirt and a Barbie doll wearing the tee. Gianfranco Ferre is following in Jil Sander's footsteps in partnering with the Damiani group to create a luxury jewellery collection, reports Vogue.co.uk. Gianfranco Ferr? creative directors Tommaso Aquilano and Roberto Rimondi will oversee the creation of the new collection, which will debut in time for spring/summer 2010.
Burberry Prorsum will this year show its spring 2010 collection in London. The brand, which usually presents its collection in Milan, will close the 25th anniversary of London Fashion Week on September 22. Meanwhile, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg has declared May 28 'Burberry Day' to celebrate the brand's new headquarters in the city.

Hong Kong-based trading group YGM, which also owns fashion label Guy Laroche, is in talks to buy Aquascutum from Japan's Renown, reports WWD.
