The Guitar Hero 5 game is being demonstrated at this month's Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles, in the United States.

To be released in September, Guitar Hero 5 is similar to its predecessor, Guitar Hero World Tour, in that it mimics a four-person band, including lead and bass guitars, drums and vocals, but it will allow players to use multiples of the same instrument. Two features will be added: 'party play' mode, which allows players to jump into or drop out of play and switch instruments, even during a song; and 'RockFest' mode, which can be played by four players locally or eight online. The tracklist includes songs by Wolfmother, Arctic Monkeys and Kings of Leon.
