A woman with heart pain received emergency treatment nine minutes late after an ambulance broke down on its way to Queen Elizabeth Hospital yesterday, the Fire Services Department said. The vehicle, which was 10 years old and had a maintenance check this month, broke down near 66 Waterloo Road at 2.05pm. A replacement vehicle picked up the patient at 2.14pm.
