Hong Kong are strong favourites as they take on China in today's opening match at the Pre-East Asian Games championships. Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Macau will also feature in the six-day tournament beginning at the Hong Kong Squash Centre. While there will be separate men's and women's team events in December, the test event will feature a mixed team of three men and two women, with each match to be decided in a best-of-five format. The mixed team event will be followed by three doubles contests at Aberdeen Squash Centre starting on Thursday.
