Monsters vs Aliens DVD

This story is exactly what the title suggests. Monsters vs Aliens is about a battle between the two species, and there's nothing too surprising in the plot. But what makes this movie worth watching is the dialogue and the brilliant 3D animation.

The film is available in both 3D and 'normal' 35mm versions, but it's definitely worth shelling out the extra money for the version that requires a pair of wacky glasses.

DreamWorks Animation's 3D effects are far more impressive than most recent efforts - you really feel like things are flying at you, rather than floating in the vicinity of the screen.

While the company is developing a well-deserved reputation for producing eye-catching work, they are also known for the quality of their comedy - they are, after all, the team behind movies such as the Shrek series, the two Madagascar movies and Kung Fu Panda. Monsters vs Aliens is no exception. The script is one of the funniest of the year so far, and it is near-impossible not to cry with laughter at everything Bob, the brainless blue blob, says.

The Cantonese version is brilliantly dubbed by Kelly Chen Wai-lam, Kenny B and William Chan Wai-ting, who proves his worth as the hilarious Bob.
