Unclaimed collection

Designer Alessandro Dell'Acqua is on the warpath with Cherry Grove, the company that produces and distributes his label. Dell'Acqua claims the firm created a women's pre-spring and men's spring/summer 2010 collection without his final approval. Fashion insiders are questioning how long the relationship will last.

School of cool

Lane Crawford continues to support local designers by teaming up with Hong Kong Polytechnic University for the fourth time. The store will showcase the work of 12 students graduating from the Institute of Textile and Clothing in an exhibition entitled Designers of Tomorrow. Local swimwear brand Sabina Swims has collaborated with graphic design studio Whitespace on an exclusive Sunbird print for its summer collection. Jonathan Saunders has announced that he will be showing at London Fashion Week for the event's 25th anniversary in September. He will join Burberry, Matthew Williamson and Pringle of Scotland.

Versace and the Jet Li One Foundation have opened a second Versace One Foundation Children's Centre in Sichuan. It's the fruit of a year-long partnership between the two. Versace last year opened the first centre in San Jiang, Sichuan.
