Hannah Wilson's dream of a hat-trick of gold medals was shattered when she failed to reach the final of the 50-metres freestyle at the World University Games in Belgrade, Serbia. The 20-year-old finished sixth in her semi-final with a time of 25.62 seconds, beating her Hong Kong record of 25.99 set in the heats, but it was not good enough to qualify for the final as she was placed 11th overall. The University of California student won gold medals in the 100m freestyle and 100m butterfly, both in Games records. Wilson (pictured) will return to Hong Kong in August after attending to some private affairs in the US.
