Skyla FS80
One of the best things about digital photography is you can put on a digital photo frame and have a running slide show of photos. The problem is what do you do with all those photos you took before you got your digital camera?
With the Skyla FS80, that is no longer a problem because the digital photo frame comes with a built-in scanner. You simply feed any print photo into the slot below the display, then a few seconds later, that photo is scanned and displayed on the FS80's 8-inch (800 x 600 pixels) digital display.
You can scan prints of up to 10cm x 15cm (2R size) and store them on the internal 1GB memory, or put them on memory card via the 5-in-1 card slot. There's a USB port for the same purpose.
Images can be displayed in slideshow mode, or as thumbnails. There is a small touch pad on the front for navigation, or a remote control. Another cool feature is its light sensor, which detects light in the room and adjusts the display backlight for better viewing. It comes with a built-in MP3 player, so you can play a soundtrack while displaying photos. If you are putting this on your bedside table, there's a clock (and alarm) function, and a calendar. The Skyla FS80 also plays video and costs HK$1,890.
