Trio faked robbery to steal phone, game console from schoolmate

Three thieves stole a mobile phone and PlayStation Portable from a classmate, with one of them playing the 'robber' and the other two 'victims' to make the theft more convincing. Two 15-year-olds and Tang Wing-fai, 17, pleaded guilty yesterday in the District Court to conspiracy to rob. Two of them attended Form Three at the same school as the victim. One of the teens recently left the school. At a park last October 3, the impostor robber forced the victim and the impostor victims to give up their phones, and the victim his PSP console as well. The victim then saw the other 'victims' using their phones at school the next day.
