The gang is back together for another fun adventure that takes place both in a winter wonderland and also in the sweltering jungle. Join Sid, Manny, Diego and Scrat in Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, a video game for the PS3, PS2, Wii, Xbox 360 and PCs.

Join the characters as they embark on a rescue mission across melting snow to the mysterious Dinosaur World - an all-new, fur-raising jungle of carnivorous plants, lush foliage and fierce dinosaurs.

The game is easy, but provides ample entertainment thanks to the continually changing game play from level to level. It starts as a simple 3D platformer in which you wander around the collecting items and solving simple puzzles.

Later, the game evolves into a Prince of Persia-like clone, with new arrival Buck running along the sides of walls and shooting at dinosaurs that want to have you for lunch.

Occasionally, in a change of pace, gamers get to play as Scrat the squirrel in a simple side-scrolling platformer, in which you chase an acorn.

Players can also team up with friends and family in eight competitive multiplayer mini games that can support up to four players at the same time.

Dawn of the Dinosaurs includes some great unlockable features such as mini games, character art, game concept art, a soundtrack player, a voice-over player, and movie clips from both the game and movie.

Most of the main cast from the movie reprises their roles for the game with only Diego's and Buck's original voice actors absent from the lineup.

Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs is geared towards very young gamers who are die-hard fans of the movie series. It provides little difficulty for the more mature gamer, but there is enough fun and variety to keep more adept gamers entertained as well.

All in all, it is a surprisingly pleasant and fun game that will entertain fans both young and old.
