Fight the natural order

Most cats hate water, it's true. But not all cats are hydrophobic.

Take Odin, the white Bengal tiger, from Six Flags park in San Francisco, California. He just loves to 'fish' for meat in his pool. His trainer tosses chunks of horsemeat into the water for Odin to 'fetch' and the tiger holds his breath, closes his nostrils, folds his ears, and goes diving.

While many big cats - tigers, jaguar and sometimes lions - will go into water to hunt or because they have no choice, they seldom catch prey under water.

Odin has become something of a celebrity after photos of him diving for meat were published in a British newspaper and then were sent round the internet. He's not the only swimming tiger at Six Flags, but he's certainly the most famous.
