Esprit seeks a friendly hand for its new campaign

When you're down and troubled, ain't it good to know that you've got a friend? That's the essence of clothing store Esprit's coming campaign.

As such, they're ditching fashion models to find real people and their close mates to be the faces of a new promotional shoot. The international project starts here in Hong Kong.

The company is looking for eight groups of friends, but it doesn't specify whether it's just one buddy or a posse of a dozen. Casting will take place tomorrow and Sunday, and next Saturday and Sunday, from 11am to 6pm at Esprit stores in Lee Theatre Plaza, Mong Kok's Wai Fung Plaza and Kwun Tong's APM mall.

They're seeking BFFs (that's Paris Hilton slang for 'best friends forever') who tell the most compelling story about how they met and what binds them. Each group of selected pals will be ambassadors in the new campaign and the group will be paid US$10,000.

You can even save everyone some time by registering on the Net at www.espritfriends.com before attending the casting sessions, because that's what friends are for.
