Health inspector hit by carcass gets payout

A health inspector who was struck by a pig carcass during an inspection of the Tsuen Wan slaughterhouse received HK$318,263 for her workplace injury yesterday. But Anita Lam Pui-yi's claim of negligence against the government was dismissed by Deputy High Court Judge Louis Chan Kong-yiu in the Court of First Instance. The Food and Environmental Hygiene Department inspector said her head, neck, shoulder and arm were hit in the 1999 accident.
